This father's day, I wish for family law to recognize the dad as equally important after divorce and start custody negotiations at 50/50 shared parenting.
Don't let you custodial mom walk all over you. Just because she's got the state's attorney's behind her, doesn't mean she can disobey the law. In my ex-wife's case, she simply didn't show up to some of our Attorney General's appointments.
Dear Ex-wife, I sincerely hope you are happy in your new life without me. I am happy you are remarried, I am happy you no longer have any money concerns,…
Father's day was a day of celebration while I was married. As a single dad, it takes on a slightly different tone for me. I'm not sad on Father's Day, but I am reflective of what has become of my parenting relationship. With two teenage kids that live with their mom, my involvement is less than I would like.
And as I forgive my father for his loss of control and family, for the divorce, and for not taking care of himself long enough to see me and my kids. Today, I forgive him, but I am also learning to forgive myself for the failure of my marriage.
